Scherie's Home

Please excuse my apparent rudeness in neglecting to inform you concerning the status of my wife.
Last Saturday, she was doing well enough for them to evict her from her hospital bed.
On the way home we stopped and picked up a kit of antibiotic drip supplies including the pole and syringes.
A visiting nurse then stopped by the house to show Scherie's sister (who is now a member of our household) and myself, how to administer them.
Tanie is doing most of the work, which involves getting up in the middle of the night and changing the bag.
This will go on for two weeks.
Although I haven't been doing most (any) of the administering, it does disrupt my sleep, and I've been too exhausted to post until today.
She is doing so much better since yesterday.
Our friend came over and cut her hair, she got dressed, worked in the kitchen.
She is on oxycodone and tylenol, alternately.
But she is so much better than the last couple weeks.

  1. Not 'rudeness'...!!
It's so good to hear she's up and doing better; I'm praying that the pain level's going down, down, down.
God bless you all and may He continue to show his provisions to you.
    xx

  7. Ed, how's it going? Is Scherie getting better and better, I hope? And do you pronounce her name with the accent on the second syllable or the first?

  8. Z: I'm concerned about the swelling under her scalp all around the incision. It's approaching her eyebrows.
I'm waiting for the on-call resident to respond.
Other than that, she's in good spirits, went to church today and the church threw a small welcoming fellowship meal (with cake) for her sister Tanie, who has moved in with us.
    She is literally a God-send.
    Scherie (Shae-ree) rhymes with scary.
Do you pronounce it Zzzz or Zeeee? :)
