Religion and the Left

I made the following comment in response to a post at Z's.
"As for me, Give me Liberty or give me death."
Patrick Henry, but you knew that.
The left live in a world unlike our own.
It exists in their head, and like some weird science fantasy horror movie, they want to project that world onto our world.
It won't fit reality, it will bring pain and slavery, but they think that it will all be worth it in the end.
It is a religion.
They are slaves to that religion.
They have an unrealistic faith in it's outcome even when the initial evidence is contrary, even to their own welfare.
They are willing to pay higher premiums and taxes as an offering to this god of theirs, and demand that you do the same.
If Christians were to insist on restraints in society for the common good, they would and have been mocked as zealots and self-righteous fascists.
But when liberals insist I accept and pay for their vision of the world, they are enlightened liberators.
In their own mind.

  2. Loved this description. Hammer, meet nail. Direct hit. And so many still cling this perverse ideology even as we marinate in the rancid byproducts it has created. I guess it must be hard for some to come to terms with the fact they have embraced a lie at their core all their misguided lives. The good news for them is we will still welcome them with open arms when the truth finally dawns on them.

    They don't?
Seems they've been quite active in the gay marriage resistance.

    That's a minor example.

Climate warming, Israel, the social welfare state ...

  5. And we have "been mocked as zealots and self-righteous fascists."
    Good point Duck.
    I phrased that wrong.
But our paradigm doesn't twist reality.
    I appreciate you stopping by.

  6. I couldn't find your email so this link is unrelated to your article. You asked me if I was serious about the article I wrote at ALR.

They don't? No, they do not.
Seems they've been quite active in the gay marriage resistance. That's because you are only paying attention to what you want to see, and not the facts. Try opening your eyes once in a while.
