Posting

A person only has so much time on their hands.
Mine is occupied by work, home issues, leaving pithy comments on other peoples blogs, engaging in firefights on FaceBook with idiots (gotta cut back on that) and lately creating ads for this campaign,
I just created a couple more ads,
They take time to edit and time to record and re-record.
This morning I woke up with the notion "How did I get here?"
That inspired an ad, the text of which is:

Have you ever been in line to vote and seen your neighbors in the line for a different precinct and asked yourself "Am I were I should be?".

Have you ever gone out with friends, and they were driving, and a decision was made to go somewhere you'd rather not go, and when you got there you realized that wasn't where you wanted to be?

Have you found yourself driving down the road, and later noticed that you're not on the same road, but you made no turns.
It turns out the road turned left at that list intersection, but you didn't?

It wasn't your fault, it's just that something changed and you hadn't noticed.

Perhaps you've been voting with a certain group of people and you've come to realize those people no longer believe in a strong America.

They no longer believe in rewarding work, instead of rewarding inactivity.

They insist that God no longer be a part of their political platform. Repeatedly.

They insist that mothers have the right to kill their babies even at the point of delivery.

What are you to do when you find yourself in this place?

Recalculating route, please turn at the next available opportunity.

Pick a new way, vote for a different group of people, those who share your values instead of using you to promote their own.

Join us in restoring America to its core values.
Vote Republican.

Another that I did Thursday night:

(Opens with Twilight Zone theme)
Imagine this:
Living in a land where you're president addresses one of the most highly esteemed military academies on the planet,  preparing the Warriors as they face the challenges ahead  and tells them:
Wear a raincoat
Button up
Put on your galoshes!
Why is he warning them of the weather, climate change, instead of the military challenges they'll surely face?
Because he does not understand the challenges that face this country and endanger it.
He has reduced the size of the Navy to pre World War 2 size.
He has caused morale to sink as he tries to make the military politically correct.
But his is a mindset not alone.
He has a large body of politicians who support him in weakening America.
You know who they are.
You only have one other alternative to them.
This next election, vote for a strong America.
Vote Conservative.
Vote Republican

These ads are not currently available for vote, so don't try, not that I'm seeing a lot of response to my begs for votes here or from my family and friends on Facebook.

Now, I know that the Republican Party is not the salvation of this country and that a number of it's members are a part of the problem.

So, I believe that just as the hard left hijacked the Democrat Party, that conservatives can do the same with the Republican Party.

Next election, if we don't get a solid front Republican Party vote against the dems, we lose.
Long term.

  1. So far, no one I've ever voted for got elected. I think there's an unfair attitude toward atheists and my vote doesn't count.

    1. The only person who doesn't count atheists votes is God, and they don't seem to mind...

    2. Not a bit, sweetie. Not for five years so far. But YOU love me, and that's all I care about.

  2. Nothing works as it did before. Not even the notifications of new comments. I noticed it with blooger first, but Discus isn't sending emails either as it once did. This is bad because a commenter doesn't know when someone responds to them maybe days or weeks later when we don't come back to check.

Unlike our pols who don't give a lick what you have to say, I am open to comments both pro and con. And Blooger et al. seem determined to keep us in the dark.

BTW, I did vote for your last. However, when you pump for a GOP that don't pump back, I dunno.

    1. I know. I think of that every time I say Vote Conservative, Vote Republican.
But it's one or the other, and as bad as some elements of the Repubs are, there are no Cruzs, Walkers, etc. in the Dem column.
Thanks for the comment and the vote, Pasc.

    2. And I am still getting e-mail notifications for Blogger and Disqus.
      Email issues on your end?

  3. Pascal, I do get Discus send-outs....not on all but the ones ON Discus.
I agree...I used to think it's a hassle to constantly get my email inbox glutted with a response to every comment I made; but most don't do Discus, so this works for me...just enough.

Keep goin' Ed, you're on a roll!!

    1. Hmm. I wonder what's up with my connections?

    2. Well, now that's special. All my blogger response email was in my spam folder. I have to figure out how to tell blogger to alter my designation that made in-coming notifications (from you, others and my own blog as well) go to spam. Dunno what's up with Disqus yet.

    3. Thanks Z!
Pasc, maybe you need to re-register?

  4. Hmmm ...

Perhaps you've been voting with a certain group of people and you've come to realize those people no longer believe in a strong America.

That would be true only if I were standing in line with the far right who believe strength comes through military action. Gotta keep the war machine humming. Think of the economy.

They no longer believe in rewarding work, instead of rewarding inactivity.

As Ed dumps on the minimum wage increase, I assume.

They insist that God no longer be a part of their political platform. Repeatedly.

Your God? No, I want nothing to do with it. Hence separation of church and state.

They insist that mothers have the right to kill their babies even at the point of delivery.

Bull. I think the decision is between a woman and her doctor (and her God), not you.

    1. You took the time to write, I don't expect to to agree.
      1. We differ.
      2. HIgher min wages, fewer min wage jobs. Demonstrable.
      3. We differ. That's the point.
      4. Maybe we should ask the baby. no bull.

    2. No Ed, an expanded minimum wage does not cost jobs. It has been shown to be a net job creator and costs jobs only in segments that are non competitive.

It is actually good for economic health.

  5. No question... One more loss and we can pack America in and turn off the lights... One comment I'd make on the first ad is to just say recalculating... :-)

    1. That's odd, I was sure I had replied to this previously.
I've got a Garmin voice in the audio saying "Recalculating".
Maybe I should edit my repeat of that....

  6. Voting Republican in the general election is the last firewall against socialism and Marxism. Often, though, pulling the handle for some guys with an (R) behind their names requires holding ones nose.

The thrust in our efforts to take back our country from the pinkos that currently call the shots is to show up in the PRIMARIES. RINOs are killing us. They are really no different than anyone with a (D) behind their names, it's just that they pretend to be conservative. These guys have to go. We need to get true conservatives on the ballot, and not Democrats who simply put an (R) behind their names so that they can get elected.

    Primaries, Ed. That's the key.

    1. I appreciate that totally.
Around here, an (R) gets you no votes.
Like I told Pascal above: "I know. I think of that every time I say Vote Conservative, Vote Republican.
But it's one or the other, and as bad as some elements of the Repubs are, there are no Cruzs, Walkers, etc. in the Dem column."

  7. Ed, I sure do understand about time poverty, but I eventually catch up with everyone. And I agree with Z. You're on a roll! Those are great spots. Now with special effects! ("recalculating")

  8. I like them both

I am struggling. I keep holding my nose and voting for the lessor of two evils. The problem is they are both evil. Something in that DC water seems to neutralize conservatives and turn them against the ones that voted them in.

    1. It's partly a matter of inculcating young people to succumb to peer pressure rather than stand their principled ground. Then when that is combined with the Soviet-Style Media onslaughts with its well proven effectiveness of demonizing yesterday's hero, I'm not surprised how seemingly simple nudges can drive those on the Right to give ground to the Left.

As CSLewis memorably warned at the end of his lecture men without chests, "we castrate and bid the geldings be fruitful."

For the West to recover from the long buildup (the "long march thru the institutions") of these incremental destruction of our barriers to tyranny will take monumental effort.

IMCO, it comes down to daring to build your own local blocs and be both diligent and relentless in their formation. At this point patriots dare not rely on the established parties except to the extent they are sure they can retake them. There is so much international money running them that the elitism in high places really does look at American citizens as their dumb subjects. Sadly it appears that too will take monumental effort. Godspeed.
