A friend of mine, the father of another friend of mine (and pastor) just went to see Jesus personally on Thursday.
He himself was a pastor and had a son and daughter who are missionaries, besides my pastor.
One grandson is a youth pastor.
Psalm 127
4 As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.
5 Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed,
but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
A few years ago he was diagnosed with stage four kidney cancer.
Jesus spoke to him and told him he would beat it.
He miraculously (unattributable to medicine) beat it.
A couple months ago he was diagnosed with congestive heart disease (which my dad had, also) after a heart attack. He felt this time was THE time.
As to his quiver:
He had another son who rejected the gospel.
His dying wish was to lead that son to Jesus.
Much prayer went forth, and when that son was able to visit him, Charles led his son in the sinner’s prayer.
2 Timothy 4:7 - I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith:
The man went out a winner.
He finished the race.
Well done, thou good and faithful servant, Pastor Charles Sanders.
We are diminished by his passing.

ReplyDeleteYour tribute and prayer is very moving and I feel so poor having never had the pleasure of his acquaintance. Prayers to all who are mourning their loss.
ReplyDeleteThanks guys. Sorry for the late response long weird hours at work.
