The Crisis

THESE are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated.
So many are posting, like many did in 2012, that they are giving up.
But in 2016 we prevailed.

Will we prevail again?
Or quit?

DeleteIf you start a recipe with rancid ingredients the likelihood of a tasty outcome is remote.
ReplyDeleteThis recipe, eventually, will prove to be spoiled. The question is, like "The Emperor's new clothes", will anyone have the courage to stand up and work toward a solution?
Our 37 yr-old son says young people are growing tired of being lied to.
I hope he has his finger on the pulse of the young. We need them to point out the recipe is a failure.

I endured 8 years because as in the past the pendulum could swing as it has done before. The pendulum has now been broken with the corrupt election process that will not permit an honest election. I doubt there is the will to fix it.
ReplyDeleteThe other day on Rush he quoted a founder regarding our Republic. Basically our freedom and success will depend on the people being moral people and remaining so. Sorry I cannot quote it verbatim.
Far too many have lost their moral compass now. Anything goes.
It is why I remain gloomy at this point. Watching Trump's team deserting him like the rats they are says it all.
I wonder at those who want to quit because they think the game is rigged.

We can do it again.
I'm fully aware we are at war. For now, I have trimmed my sails, put down anchor and oiled the cannons. I'm only awaiting to see where the defensive lines need to be drawn and if the military and/or local police will side with true Americans.

ReplyDeleteNo one fighting a defensive war can win that war, Sparky. We tried that in Korea and Vietnam and the score so far is 0-2.
The Deep State (or swamp if you prefer) is one of Trump’s unfulfilled promises. He gave it a shot but failed. He didn’t move fast enough, he didn’t move firmly enough, and he didn’t employ the right people. He also failed because he remained inside the board room his entire four years – never moving into the oval office and never taking on the problem as we might expect from a seasoned chief executive. He made it too personal, in my opinion – so, here we are wondering about next steps.
Marxist America is a cancer that is spreading to all our vital organs. To fix the problem, we’ll need a team of surgeons. This is just my analogy for saying that the problem IS in the Federal government, but the solution come from within the STATES. If conservatives want a conservative-inspired federal republic, then we FIRST have to put our states in order. I do believe that the election was stolen from Trump, but it wasn’t stolen by the federal government; it was stolen by corrupt states that allow dead people and illegal aliens to vote. How do I know that this is a state problem? It was Georgia that gave the senate back to the Marxists – but they weren’t the only problem state. Note: Stacy Abrams has been working on this for at least TWO years.
The challenge will not be easy. Trump should have begun working on this four years ago; Soros has been working on it now since 1989. What works against conservatives are videos of people purported to be MAGA Commandos storming the US Capital. If they have to storm a capital (and I am not advocating this at all), then they need to focus on State capitals – but any overt act of violence or hooliganism only works to the advantage of the communist left, who set the whole thing up. We’ve got to be energized – yes, but smartly so. If we can’t do that or won’t do it ... then get used to Biden/Harris/et. al., and a completely leftist Congress.
Anyway ... that’s how I see it.

Primary the swamp.
Inform our neighbors and convince them.

Suppose she wins? That's a battle that must be fought.
It would be ammunition in the info war.

DeleteEd, I'm not sure who the "they" is you're asking about. I will add that I think conservatives are energized in their frustration -- but they are not energized to actually get involved in the slugfest of political action where they live. Not a criticism; just an observation. There are all kinds of excuses for this, of course ... none of which really matter. Either you're an energized conservative, or you're a victim. We get to choose which of these we prefer.
I was thinking of "they" as Dominion, who are representative of the effort to steal the nation.
DeleteIf she successfully defends herself, she would have had her time in court finally to present her case for fraud.
The deep state must be killed with a thousand...er...make that 2.25 MILLION cuts. (Seventy-five million Trump voters times 3% who are willing to fight). If every one of them took out just ONE socialist/communist we would be in control of our country again. This post is for educational purposes.
