This morning, Bruce reminded me that it is the anniversary of the first use of atomic weaponry.
In our history, at least.
On August 6, 1945, the US dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima that destroyed most of the city and instantly killed 80,000 of its citizens.
On August 6, 1945, the US bomber Enola Gay dropped the first atomic bomb ever used in military combat on Hiroshima. The Allied forces dropped a second atomic bomb on the city of Nagasaki three days later.
The device that exploded over Hiroshima destroyed about two-thirds of the city’s structures in a blinding flash of light. At the time, Hiroshima’s population was approximately 300,000. The atomic bomb immediately killed 80,000 and injured 35,000 more. By the end of 1945, 60,000 more people had died as a result of the blast.
Today, Hiroshima is a prosperous manufacturing hub with a population of over 1.1 million.
Detroit is not and it's population has shrunk to less than a million.

If it was simply a question then there is no crime and Pence is running for President as a jackass. If there was a threat of violence, then Pence should have just resigned and there is still no crime. From what I've seen in all the indictments, there have been no crimes committed. The investigation involved the suspect making alleged threats against politicians and public figures, according to charging documents obtained by NBC News.
The suspect was identified in charging documents as Craig Deleeuw Robertson.
On Monday, Robertson allegedly made a threat referencing Biden's trip to Utah this week, saying he needed to prepare his camouflage and sniper rifle.
Robertson’s alleged threat to Bragg included calling him a political hack linked to George Soros and plotting to assassinate him in a parking garage, the charging documents said.
The charging documents said that Robertson mentioned many other politicians, including New York Attorney General Letitia James, U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland and California Gov. Gavin Newsom.

The Biden family business received over $20 million from Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan while President Joe Biden was vice president in the Obama administration, the House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) revealed.
The committee previously unveiled two tranches of Biden business bank records. Those showed the Biden business received at least $10 million from business schemes in Romania and China. The House Committee was bipartisan. There were Republicans who didn’t take Trump at his word and saw the harm he had done by sending an angry mob to the Capitol to overturn, obstruct and delay our election.
That was their great sin that made them “RINOs”. Liz voted with Trump over 90% of the time.
Democrats did not conspire to fabricate any of the testimony and evidence. Did you know besides the police victims of Trump’s violent mob and the Black women election workers slandered by Rudy, sworn testimony was almost entirely from Trump’s own White House Cabinet, counsel, and staff? Did you know the Senate votes to convict Trump were bipartisan? Over half the Senate voted to convict. It was McConnell who declared there was legal recourse instead of impeachment for Trump since he would be out of office by trial time.
I’m convinced you felt no need to watch the hearings or to read the indictments. You’re only hearing one side, Trump’s, on all these matters.
