I don't know your persuasion Paul, but I'm Assemblies. The pastor had spoken about Jesus thinking it not robbery, etc. but became one of us. Ph 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. He didn't say "Mine, mine, mine..." when it came to the glory He left behind. The word I got that came later was that Jesus looked at us and said "Mine, mine, mine..." "for the joy that was set before Him..."
Hope you and yours had a blessed Sunday. :)
ReplyDeleteSame with you my friend.
DeleteSalvation's free - to us. But it cost a LOT, and life as a Christian is hard.
ReplyDeleteBut being lost is a lot harder. It's just that God wants us to remember the cost, so we don't take it for granted.
