Ed,I don't care. If 18 million people die of overdose - I DON'T CARE. Honestly. 50 years of the 'war on drugs' and it only gets worse by the second. We pay $600 a does for Narcan to save some druggie who will only require another 1 or 3 doses tomorrow or next week. Absurd.
Have to agree with Kid on this........more to the point that the State shouldn’t be able to (at least easily) decree what a Citizen can put inside Theo own body.
Thx CI. And if we're so intent on "saving" drug users, why aren't we guarding mountain tops to keep people from wingsuit flying? or doing any number of other things that often result in death. It's a very absurd concept to me.
I'm sorry for my late response. Work. Loved the wingsuit video. There's not an epidemic of them though. As for the drugs, I want to restrain their availability to kids in particular.
I worry about kids getting mixed up with drugs, but I can't worry about every idiot adult that makes bad choices in life. Whether it's drugs or reckless behavior, that's when Darwin kicks in and deals with the problem. It might sound cold to some, but adults should know there are consequences to bad actions.
I voted no here in Michigan but the potheads won out. I guess I'll just pay the higher premiums for insurance and hope they don't kill me on the roadways.
Well done sir!
ReplyDeleteThank you. It's an honor.
DeleteAll drugs should be legal and abuse should be treated as a health issue rather than criminal. But then the gov wouldn't make so much money off of it.
ReplyDeleteCocaine, heroin, Fentanyl, huh?

ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which, here's a good one.

Yes, no kids. Just like alcohol. People selling to kids get the death penalty or life. Death would be my choice.
DeleteYokke has some great vids of flying. Check out Dreamlines 1,2,3 (easy to find) and one that would be hard to find - Need4Speed
DeleteNudder Good One
ReplyDeleteI like the way those guys lean forward to watch the fly by.
DeleteCould'a been "interesting" for them.
For a short period of time.
I've spent a lot of time under canopy in a former life, but Wingsuit flying never really appealed to me.
DeleteAnybody who jumps out of a perfectly fine aircraft....
DeleteStatistically safer than landing in one!
DeleteNever hurts to bring your own chute.
DeleteNot sure how the statistics work on that one.

ReplyDeleteWhen the kids see that the adults say it's OK.....
DeleteEd, people drink in front of their children. Is that an excuse to ban alcohol? I don't think drinking in moderation is a bad thing.

ReplyDeleteI now live in an alternate reality and I can't find my way home.
