The Orson broadcast, as it turns out, was much ado about nothing. Newspapers at the time grossly exaggerated public reaction to the broadcast. Gosh ... journalists exaggerating actual events. Who can imagine such a thing? According to studies in the aftermath of the broadcast, fewer than 2% of people who back then listened to the radio for entertainment panicked and of those, 99.9% were probably Democrats. I remember my parents telling me about this, telling me that hundreds of people threw themselves out of high story buildings and so on. It never happened, and if anyone did jump out of a high story window, who can tell that they weren’t suicidal anyway? More recently, drinking bleach as a cure for a non-event became the focus of fake news reporting. It seems as though not much has changed in the past 82 years.
He and his sidekick Birx are determined to destroy us economically.... and they tell us no baseball to boot? Why Trump keeps them front and center beats me...I guess he is too far in with them to rid himself.
Trump is good at some things but choosing the right people to advise him is not one of his strong suits. I do not think that there is an abundance of geniuses in our government to begin with, and I suspect that given Trump’s leadership style, the few really smart people that do exist (in or out of government) would ever want to serve in his administration. What this situation tends to argue is that a very large percentage of our society is drunk on leftist ideology even to the extent of not knowing it. If they are unable to destroy our Republic in one way, they’ll try another, and another, and another until they finally achieve their goal. If we cannot impeach Trump for an event that never actually happened, then darn it we’ll get him another way ... even if we must take advantage of a crisis that ends in personal disaster and sorrow for many of our fellow Americans. How low is that?
There is a solution to the problem. We need more of God in our lives, not less.
