More insurance stats: "at the same time, the [insurance] company is seeing an “uptick” in disability claims, saying at first it was short-term disability claims, and now the increase is in long-term disability claims."
Plus, those additional costs will have to be factored into policy pricing.
Yeah, half in hospital with Covid are just that - "with."
Along with David, I was appalled to hear Sotomayor (never been impressed with her. Would have voted to confirm Kagen, but not her) repeat the 100,000 children hospitalized by covid meme.
Our "betters" are ignorant fools. Sotamayor is an affirmative action Justice. Her and Breyer had/have no clue as to the statistics, and as Dave pointed out, the ruling might hinge on whether this really is an emergency rather than constitutional authority.
It is not a constitution matter, it is an emergency, hence, pandemic. You cannot regulate and make new laws just because people are getting sick or vaxing or not vaxing. The majority ruled that the state constitution protects a right to personal autonomy. This is not to say that state constitutional protection of the right to choose is anything other than a second best proposition.

ReplyDeleteNot good they left the mandate for health care workers. Vax'd people can still get and pass on right?
ReplyDeleteExactly. And they are letting Covid positive injected workers work.
