Edit:
I was on Bennett this morning and we discussed this topic.
Link: Ed on Bennet about Planned Parenthood
And how much I sound like Roy Orbison. :)
Original Post:
A woman wants an abortion.
She goes to Planned Parenthood for one.
Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director, says that it is the direction to employees to shake down each woman who walks through the doors.
If the pregnancy is more advanced than previously thought, the price goes up while the victims are still on the table. Two victims per table.
So the price of an abortion starts out at about $400, but if the baby is a little older, then the price rises $100 to $500 or more.
Now Planned Parenthood, that paragon of helping women, after charging for the abortion, sells the remains of the baby they kill for more than the abortion costs.
And the farther along the pregnancy, the more money they get, both from the mother, and from the purchaser of the baby parts.
What a racket.
Perhaps it is time for me to go live in my own happy little world where the sun shines and that kind of evil doesn't exist. How anyone can possibly think that is OK is completely beyond my comprehension.
ReplyDelete"The banality of evil" was coined for Adolf Eichmann.
DeleteQuite a civilized demeanor.
It is diabolical, in the truest & most tradition sense of the word.
ReplyDeleteMake that "traditional".
DeleteVerbal Kint:
DeleteThe greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.
Rephrasing of the phrase "the finest trick of the devil is to persuade you that he does not exist" by Charles Baudelaire
Ed, you summed it up.
ReplyDeleteAnd progressives still consider conservatives to be the greedy and heartless ones.
Thank you Alec. I referenced your post to someone yesterday.
DeleteCan't remember who know.
Once again, Planned Parenthood does not sell the fetus for profit.
ReplyDeleteNow, you can argue against medical research and the woman's right to make this decision. But you shouldn't lie. It really weakens your cause, Ed and your cause is vulnerable.
A reasoned position
Just reading the beginning of that link (and I thank you for it, I like a reasoned discussion), I read "There are profits to be made by such middlemen in what critics call the abortion industry. A fetus runs upward of $850, not including testing, cleaning or shipping charges, while a vial packed with pure stem cells can fetch more than $20,000.".
DeletePreviously, you insisted that this is not a for profit scheme and that that was wherein my "lie" rested.
How am I lying now?
Planned Parenthood is not the middleman.
DeleteThey are the delivery service, the procurer, the dealer in dead baby parts.
DeleteDistinction without a difference.
Wrong is wrong. Maybe legal, but wrong.
thank you for your take on the PP issue
ReplyDelete-I for one - am tired of my tax $$ going to debauched organizations-
Carol-CS
And yet they refuse to say anything about the MORALITY of what they are doing...
ReplyDeleteThey wouldn't have much too say...
DeleteNot sure, but maybe PP didn't know that abortions at a certain point ARE illegal!? Charging more to abort babies further along/bigger? WOW.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're so right about "distinction without a difference"
If they just didn't lie about mammograms, etc........
And, by the way, women can get free birth control through Obamacare, so........a lot of folks are asking about the need for PP.....
ReplyDeleteor at least they should stop getting tax exemption and federal funding.
They get State and Local funding in many cases, also.
DeleteThey are a non-profit that the administrators profit from.
A mix between Roy and Buddy Holly. Very nice vocals. Did you post that entire song somewhere for download?

DeleteEd, YOU KILL ME!!!! I couldn't stop laughing as you sang the refrain in the background. That was COMEDY GOLD my friend. I know I have been busy but HOW did I miss this? I always look forward to your dropbox segments and didn't think I had missed any. Or are you holding out on us?
DeleteI frankly think people think I like the sound of my own voice.
DeleteIt's true, but that doesn't mean THEY do.
Thanks for the compliment!
