Drain the Swamp

Mr. President, stop tweeting, start doing. Drain the swamp.
Reinstate Sessions, Fire Mueller. Take charge.
What could the consequence be? A media backlash?
How could we tell the difference?

    1. Of course, the GOPe and the Dems (but I repeat myself) will also make his life difficult -- it was they insisting on giving the Dems (themselves) Mueller. Mueller is NOT independent. (What's that you say? Seesions recused himself, but Mueller didn't? And the press has hammered this? Oh C'mon Ed, your kidding me. /s)

Recusal and honorable behavior seems to be reserved for the Right.

  2. Trump needs to hire 15 lawyers as well since that is what Mueller has done. Put them out on the stump and explain the legality of all of this or should I say illegality. Bull dogs are what we need.

    1. I beg to disagree. It is not a battle. He is the president.
      He (excuse me) Trumps Mueller.
      From Politico:
According to the regulations, Rosenstein can block major investigative steps by Mueller, but must report to Congress if that happens. Rosenstein can fire Mueller “for misconduct, dereliction of duty, incapacity, conflict of interest, or for other good cause.” Trump can’t fire Mueller directly, but in theory could order Rosenstein to dismiss Mueller and could fire Rosenstein if he didn’t comply. The president could then seek out someone who would dismiss the special prosecutor.

    2. Agree with all of that.... but he still needs to make the case to ease the political firestorm. Tweets don't cut it..

  3. near the end of the drift today, Gary said our intelligence services think of Americans as the enemy. And he laughed about tin-foil hats. But Janet Napolitano mainstreamed that attitude. It's NOT conspiracy theory when the exact policy was institutionalized openly in the preceding 8 years!

  5. I would love him to stop tweeting. I think it would drive the libs crazier if he went dark on social media and just started 'winning'.

  7. Definitely agree with your first line, but he's not drained the swamp an iota. He is a denizen of said swamp.

  8. It is fair to measure progress in a quantitative way, but, You can see by the conversation here that most of your fellow Americans would not have the same level of knowledge, intelligence [ in both senses] that you people have. So , knowing the news is nonsense they rely on the tweets to know what he is thinking. Even me over here in NZ. I signed up to twitter specifically to receive some of the tweets, bogan like as some of them are.

  9. He's trying, and getting many things done behind the scenes that aren't mentioned (11 federal judges, etc) but ...wow. This is tough; for anyone to swim through the hateful media is tough..
And with Republicans also standing in his way?
Did you hear Jason Chaffitz today? And he's being considered to work at Fox. By the liberal owners?! perfect
