This is my sweet wife Scherie.
She used to teach pre-school kids. She knows how to handle children.
She went to Meijer's today. A masked man approached her and asked her why she wasn't wearing a mask.
I guess he picked her from everyone else because he thought he could intimidate her. I'm laughing, Gimme a second.
So she told him. Then she asked him why he was wearing a mask and started reciting all the medical data about the adverse effects of wearing a mask, as well as the inefficacy of wearing them, down to the label on the box.
I wish I could have been there.
But I probably would have spoiled the moment.
She is fearless.
But having Jesus in your heart and a .357 in your purse can have that effect.
I love her.
A standing ovation here for your lovely wife who knows how to put the virtue signaler in his place. I am so impressed!!
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteYou know I don't 100% agree but I CERTAINLY would use a .357 to protect anybody's right to say what Scherie did! (if I had one!) She's a keeper :-)
ReplyDeleteI think so too. :)
DeleteWell done, Scherie!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a keeper Ed !
ReplyDeleteI intend to! :)
DeleteJesus and a 357 are two powerful forces.
ReplyDeleteEither one alone :)
DeleteAtta girl! Be prepared to give an answer in season and out of season.
ReplyDeleteMy brother was approached by a scold like that on his early morning walk (6:30 am with no one out). Strangely, I never wear a mask out walking around and have never gotten this. Occasionally someone edges away on the sidewalk, but I smile, say 'good morning' and continue.
I can't get someone to test me.
DeleteI wouldn't shoot them, but maybe I give off that vibe :)
The old 357.. impressive. :)

DeleteScherie is wonderful!! BIG HUGS for your wife! We stand with you. Y'all are NOT alone. And, yes, we are always armed. Period. Plus, me being Irish, I am a weapon. *wink*
ReplyDeleteBlessings my friends. xx
You girls are brave.
DeleteGo, Scherie, go!
ReplyDeleteFreddie
She's my hero.
DeleteAnd she fixes me sammiches.
Mara, Gay who is on the editorial board of the New York Times, says this, and this says much more about HER than it does about me.
ReplyDeleteThe NYT editor and, MSNBC’s commentator Mara Gay: said: It was “Disturbing’ to see dozens of American flags’ on trucks on Long Island”
Ok, so she’s on the editorial board of the New York Times, and this is America after all - she’s allowed her ignorant, incorrect opinions just like the next guy (unless you support President Trump).
It turns out Mara is offended by Trump supporters, who she believes that they are all knuckle-dragging, flag waving White Supremacists!.
Good for her! Well done.
ReplyDeleteWhat I find amazing is that anyone would think they have a right or an obligation to approach anyone else to complain about not wearing a mask. Have these people been appointed “special agents” of federal or state government? If they feel compelled to protect the community, then why aren’t they chastising people who deal drugs from sidewalks? Idiots abound. Good for Scherie ...
ReplyDeleteKarens abound!
