I must urge you to watch this movie.
I don't know if you've seen any of the other Kendrick Brother movies, but these would include the
phenomenal "Facing the Giants" and "Courageous".
My expectations were not so high for this movie, frankly because I was concerned they couldn't top "Courageous".
They did.

Edit; Seems many others thought so. From Deadline.com:
War Room comes as good news for Sony and a hope that better times are on the horizon for the Culver City studio as it heads into fall with Spectre, Will Smith’sConcussion and Hotel Transylvania 2. War Room is no tentpole, but it’s profitable with a budget of $3.5M. Through Thursday, Sony has suffered at the summer box office seeing receipts of $157.6M, down 74%. To give you an idea of how audiences have been responding to War Room, Deadline’s Pete Hammond attended a full house screening at The Rave in West Los Angeles last week where audiences were exploding in applause to actress Karen Abercrombie’s holy-fueled monologues.
If you've seen the movie, tell me what you think
And have you seen "Flywheel"?.
Flywheel was the first Kendrick Brothers Sherwood Baptist film.
It is well worth watching.
Funny, uplifting, encouraging.
Alex Kendricks as a used car salesman.
Perfect.
I'll see if I can find it. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAlways appreciate film recommendations, Ed. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt sure isn't being shown widely in L.A., at least my area...will try. Keep hearing great things from those who've seen it in the suburbs.
ReplyDeleteI am surprised it hasn't shown more widely, especially after the word of mouth (or blog) and the ticket sales it has generated so far, as the quoted article shows.
ReplyDeleteThis is top of the list. Maybe we'll go this weekend, though I normally just wait a year or three until they show up on Netflix.
ReplyDeleteLet me know what you think.
DeleteAre audience cheered.
