My Saturday.

Woke up and started carousing the blogs, coffee in hand.
Created a little post for Facebook:
Then my favorite radio shows came on and I started calling in.

Then the host of Trigger Talk hosted the next show for the absent host and I called in to respond to a thread of the conversation about the use of "BB" guns for self defense.

Next Matt Clark of the ClarkCast and I talked about Trump and the debates.

Then, my friend Gary Wellings of The Drift (a publisher of a local newspaper) mentioned me on his show and I responded with more about Trump,
He supports Trump and is well aware that I don't :)

So then Scherie and I were about to go to the range when I got notified that I had to secure a door at work, which is in the opposite direction from the range, but near a gun store some friends of mine shoot for in competition.
I wanted a .22 to go with a lot of ammo I had recently acquired, but as I said on the radio show, I didn't know what to settle on.
God is good.
I've always wanted a Luger.

And I have one.

Stopped for dinner at a diner we like on the way home.
Z: We had Ribs, Greek Salad, Broasted Potatoes and great service.

And now I'm blogging.

Life is good.

I pray it is good for you.

  1. Wow! Now THAT'S a full day. Nice looking Luger. I am not exactly a gun connoisseur, so I was confused by the name at first. I always thought 'Luger' meant 9mm (then i googled). I didn't make it to the range this week, but went last week with two of my boys (for the first time in over 25 years). Just purchased a S&W M&P Shield chambered 9 - and dusted off my S&W 5906 (which I am happy to say, still purrs like a kitten) But man, I love that Shield. Your 22 looks like a hoot to target practice with. Let me know. Maybe we can shoot together at some point.

As for your radio circuit, I really laughed at the bit you guys had going on the ClarkCast. Maybe I need to start calling in to these programs, since mid-Michigan seems to have a monopoly. Ed from Ypsi, Angry Tom, etc etc... I need a handle, though. How about "Lead Jerry from Flint?"

Keep up the fight. God IS good!

    2. BTW, it's a Stoeger Arms Luger.
Got it on consignment like new, $250. I left because it didn't fit Scherie well, but she talked me into going back.

  4. I'll just say we bought a S&W 22A1. 10 round mag. We had trouble with the mag's lower piece that didn't let the weapon fire, but S&W did send me 3 replacement lower mag pieces (for lack of a better term) and now it's fine. The slide is not the easiest thing to use to chamber a round though. There are probably better .22 pistols out there in the final analysis.
    Over and out.

    1. Does it have a comfortable grip?
      Point naturally?
There was a recall on them due to slides not functioning correctly a few years ago.
I bet if you arrange to send it in, they'll make it right.

  5. I didn't know there was a radio personality in our midst. I knew you called into Bill Bennett's show occasionally. Congrats on your new acquisition of the .22. It looks great
