Breath

I had a bit of insight today at church.

Air is all around us.
It is only breath when it is in your lungs.
Dead people do not have breath in their lungs.
Thus, they gasped their last breath.

God breathed life into man.
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Gen 2:7

If your body is the temple of the Living God, then your breath is sanctified and holy. Think about that.
We should use it appropriately.
I'm going to pay closer attention to mine.

Save your breath for holier issues.

Blogger doesn't like us and insisted on posting that last as anonymous. I think it got the message this time.

Ed, I owe you an apology. I have "lost it" here several times recently. I've used your blog as a pressure valve.

Gonna go re-learn how to breathe.

Such a CRAZY time to be alive.

I'm not sure I grasp your meaning.

I've been getting angry and cursing lately.
Usually in private.
I need to exercise patience more.

You owe me no apology my friend.

Well said Ed.
And Happy Birthday. Hope your day is great!

A beautiful insight, Ed.
The "first breath of life" is how Jews measure the beginning of life. Many Christian "religious freedom" defenders want the law to overrule their faith and designate a zygote as a living person under law.
There can be no American constitutional democratic republic under theocracy. The founders understood this by drafting the 1st Amendment and favoring separation of church and state.

That was how I interpreted what you wrote. So much the better if you didn't know such a message could be inferred from your own thoughts.
