My understanding is Islam regularized the Koran some time after the creation by collecting all extant copies, picking the authorized version and destroying the rest. So they have no problems like spurious gospels like Thomas. Not heard that about the Hadiths. So makes sense 'full of contradictions.' And using Mohammed as a framework on which to promote their philosophy through stories fabricated around their hero. I sense this was a common way amongst illiterate tribes of times past. Interesting interview.
