Fun in the Snow

Z at Geez wanted a video.

This particular neighbor is a snowbird.
Gone to Florida.
Like Rita.
I'm making his house look lived in.

My friend Mike took this picture from his house across the street, just before I got his drive done.
The neighbor above is retired, in her 70's.
She watches our dog when we're gone.
I actually look forward to doing this.
I will regret when Obama gets involved and I'm replaced by The affordable Snow Removal Act (Obamaplow).

  1. Holy cow, that's a lot of snow! But I can imagine it's kind of 'fun' to do it...

thanks so much for the video and still shot! Z

  2. Probably too cold and gusty for ice-boating. Any brave souls doing it like in the old days?

  3. If so, get a video of that. If the mic can pick it up, I recall the sound of the runners is ghostly.

  4. Haven't in years.
Last was on Ford Lake, down by where you lived.
    I'll keep an eye out.

  5. Stay inside and safe Ed. That's some mean stuff. Too bad all my friends and relatives can't join us for the southern winter. Day one got to 82 degrees. I feel like I'm in heaven.

  6. No worries Ed. Rita has to deal with all that humidity, right? Our negative double digit wind chill is a dry chill. BTW, that snowbird's house looks waaay more occupied than the spacious Chattering Teeth Studios here in Genesee County. Just keep truckin' north with that snow plow and I'll wave you down!

    1. Not this time of year Blade. Not a place to be in August and September, but definitely better than Indiana right now.

We are having to adjust to all the old people though. Ugh. Good thing I'm 20 years from being old. ;).

    1. I was just driving home from work eishing my feet would warm up, when our pastor called and asked me to check out the heating unit for the church.
Next, I'm standing in the dark in 3 feet of snow checking fuses.
      Brrrrrr.

  8. Ed,
So decent of you to help out your neighbors. We see little of that kindness here in Northern Virginia.
