Swimming Upstream

Here's something radical:

This woman is a rebel! No Ink!

Demonstrating her individualism!

Going it alone, bucking the tide, society be damned.

She doesn't care if she stands out in a crowd or looks different.

She's going her own way.

And if she has a discreet tat somewhere for her and that special guy, more power to her.

I hope society can handle her.

  1. Wow, there is still one unmarked young body out there? Rare as virgins is my guess.

  2. Clearly an insurgent or anarchist of some type. I'd have said "of some stripe", but she doesn't have any. Good for her.

  3. I can't understand that ink that I see. She looks good, she's got it right, they she gets a nose ring and a bunch of tattoos all over her. Why?

    1. Low self-esteem?
Some I wonder if it's just demon possession.

    It's encouraging.

  5. I'm reminded of that Mel Gibson movie, Apocalypto.
    We need our culture redeemed.

  6. While not a subscriber to tattoos myself, I don't really see an issue with them. Those who get inked are not harming their fellow Citizen.

    1. I wasn't proposing their prohibition.

    2. I didn't imply that you had....but I am curious as to how it evokes statements regarding 'hedonism' and redeeming 'our' culture....

In the grand scheme of what our fellow man is guilty of....tattooing ranks pretty low on my list.

    3. I think a lot of the extreme tats, gaging and self mutilation reflects poorly on the culture. My opinion.
The post was meant to be light hearted yet pointed. If everyone gets tattooed to proclaim their individualistic identity, that leaves "no tats" as the new statement of individualism.

      Good point.

  7. Nothing more beautiful than the natural female form.

I don't care what they do either, but they won't be on my dance list with anything more than a small tattoo somewhere. My wife is Chinese and mentioned getting a small dragon somewhere. I wouldn't mind it especially since my Chinese astrological sign is dragon.

Small discrete tat for her and her man.
I temember a cashier at a fast food I frequented showing me her pirced tongue.
I asked why and she said she heard guys like the way it feels.
      Ugh.

    2. A cashier at a fast food place said that? Sheesh.
